THE Burke family’s noted Brisbane Valley property Stanley House has sold, following an expressions of interest marketing campaign conducted by Colliers International.
Located in the Crossdale district, the picturesque 819 hectare (2024 acre) property has freehold access to the water level of Somerset Dam.
While the sale price is undisclosed, it is understood to have set a benchmark for the region. The purchase was made by a Switzerland-based investor.
It is the first time the property has been offered on the market since its settlement in 1885.
Improvements include a substantial homestead, a second home, exceptional water assets, 300 head capacity cattle yards and steel horse yard, and sheds.
The marketing of Stanley House was handled by Rawdon Briggs and Ben Forrest from Colliers International.
