CHAROLAIS bull sold to a top of $22,000 twice at Jim and Jackie Wedge’s Ascot spring bull sale at North Toolburra, Warwick, Qld.
In a sale that packed plenty of punch, buyers defied the ongoing drought conditions with high performance Charolais and Angus genetics going to four states.
Alister and Joanne McClymont, Burleigh Station, Richmond, paid the equal top money for the Ascot Market Leader, a homozygous poll Charolais bull that had been on display at Beef 2018.
Condon Grazing Company, Conjuboy, Mt Garnet, also paid $22,000 for the homozygous poll Ascot Manpower after first seeing the bull at Beef.
Sale topping Angus was the 24 month old Ascot Monarch, which sold for $16,000 to Robyn Boto, Larksghyll, Tara.
