WITH high potential for category growth and new developments in the Australian berry category, BerryQuest International 2022 has kicked off with plenty of information and networking.
More than 500 delegates have converged on Sea World Resort on the Gold Coast to explore all elements behind growing strawberries, raspberries, blackberries and other categories.
Some of the major topics covered on day one included labour, sustainability, global trends and profitability.
Giving credence to the "international" in the title, attendees travelled from as far as the United Kingdom and New Zealand, while some guest speakers were live-streamed in America and Chile.
The trade display was humming throughout day one with plenty of services and goods on display.
The conference, hosted by Berries Australia, continues today (Wednesday) with farm tours planned for tomorrow.
