While 2021 brought on many new challenges for Combi Clamp, it was also a year for showing the immense capability that this family-owned business has.
Without owners Wayne and Lynley Coffey in Australia for the field days rounds, a particular light was shone on the importance of our existing clients spreading the word on why they love their Combi Clamp.
Due to them, even from the comfort of his armchair at home in New Zealand, Mr Coffey has been inundated with calls from Australian customers, eager to get their hands on a Combi Clamp. So many, in fact, that Combi Clamp has achieved its best year on record.
Mr Coffey said they're especially lucky in New Zealand, to have an exceptionally hard-working team, who has been super busy creating product, so that they can continue to send container loads over to Australia.
"It's because of them that, this year, we've been able to keep up with the increasing demand for handlers in Australia," he said.
Mr Coffey said that he "doesn't think we're out of the woods yet though".
"Between the rural sector having an exceptional season, and the shortages of raw materials, pressure to supply is at an all-time high. It's at this time that we believe that the secret to our success is to minimise our limitations.
"This is why we feel especially lucky to rely on only Australian steel to produce our sheep handling equipment, with a mountain of it already stacked up in our workshop to keep production running smoothly."
With no guarantee of field days going ahead, Combi Clamp is fortunate to have a strong partnership with Nutrien and Ruralco, who supply the businesses handlers to the Australian market.
Mr Coffey said to potential customers that if "if there's one thing, we've learnt from Covid-19, it's to order what you want well in advanced", so that they don't miss out.
