Good quality young cattle were in the largest numbers along with a small selection of heavy grown steers and cows.

Buyer attendance was good and included a large number of local and interstate restockers.

Prices for light weight yearling steers and heifers returning to the paddock continued to improve.

Feeder operators were also very active in the market and lifted average prices on suitable yearling steers and heifers.

The small selection of cows sold to strong demand for the quality penned.

Yearling steers in the 280 to 330 kilogram range returning to the paddock made to 714c/kg to average 700c/kg.

Yearling steers to feed for the domestic market made to 654c/kg to average 635c/kg.

Heavy weight yearling steers to feed made to 592c/kg.

Light weight yearling heifers to restockers or background made to 648c/kg to average 603c/kg.

Yearling heifers to feed and restockers made to 628c/kg to average in the mid-620c/kg range.

Medium weight yearling heifers to feed made to 596c/kg, with some returning to the paddock reaching 660c/kg.

Heavy weight yearling heifers to feed averaged 538c/kg and made to an isolated 596c/kg.

A few heavy weight cows made to 373c/kg, some returning $3452 a head.

Heavy weight bulls made to 363c/kg.
