The wind was blowing and the drinks were flowing at the St George Cup yesterday, as locals and visitors alike flocked to the race track.
After the original race day being cancelled in July due to wet weather, the crowd was nervously watching the rain this week hoping that history wouldn't repeat itself this weekend.
However, it appeared that there was nothing to worry about as blue skies and a dry track were on show for the big event.
Despite hats being swept off heads, the fashions on the field competition was a raging success with many contestants showing off their best outfits, model walk and dance moves.
The mini-mr and mini-miss categories were extremely popular with the crowd as the cutest little racegoers strutted their stuff on the runway.
Bookies were also kept busy as keen punters came cashed-up and ready to place a bet, with many also walking away a little richer after some home favourites passed the post in first place.
