It was exactly 12 months ago that a Facebook post titled "Primac Gurus" was posted by the founding fathers, Warren Hohnke and Steve Gaff and from that post it has lead to the formation of the Primac Gurus Association Incorporated.
Primac Gurus Association is for past employees of the pastoral firms Mactaggarts, Primaries and Primac and more that 80 guests converged on the City Golf Club in Toowoomba for the very first reunion.
The day was enjoyed by all, especially for those who had not seen each other for more 40 plus years.
Both Mactaggarts and Primaries enjoyed similar values, and once merged in 1975, the pastoral giant Primac, became a bigger agency family spread around the state of Queensland.
President of the Primac Gurus Association Incorporated, Richard Handley, said it was a great opportunity to tell all the Primac Gurus what the long term aims of the Association were.
"To progress overnight from a Facebook group of friends to now and have the ability to capture and maintain stories of individuals, branch history, and of course photographs and memorabilia on our own website is fantastic," Mr Handley said
"This had become available by forming an incorporated association and taking over ownership of the website that had been professionally developed by Primac Guru Steve Truman, to whom we are greatly indebted.
"I appeal to all Gurus to contribute in any way they can, In maintaining interest in these two former co-operatives that merged to become Primac in 1975.
"The Gurus Association is also pleased to welcome our Patron, well known industry stalwart Robin Hart and his wife Del to the reunion.
"Robin was the last Chairman of the board of Primac before being taken over by Elders, and the Hart family have a long association with both Mactaggarts and Primac.
Membership is available to anyone who would like to join if you have worked for Mactaggarts, Primaries and Primac and to help preserve the history of these two great pastoral giants that became one.
