Competition was solid right throughout the offering, especially for feeder cattle.
With the exception of some quality local cattle, numbers were dominated by light weight store cattle from the north and the only reason any category of stock either maintained or lost ground, was purely based on lesser quality on offer.
In the prime section, bullocks over 550kg sold to 423c/kg to average 414c/kg, heavy steers 500-550kg topped at 479c/kg for the feeder types, to average 426c/kg, heavy cows over 520kg sold to 387c/kg to average 363c/kg, cows 450-520kg made as much as 379c/kg to average 354c/kg, while heavy bulls over 600kgs reached 359c/kg.
In the store section, heavy feeder steers 400-500kg sold to 500c/kg to average 473c/kg, 350-400kg steers reached to dizzy heights of 590c/kg to average 491c/kg, 280-350kg steers topped at 592c/kg to average 508c/kg, weaner steers 200-280kg made as much as 648c/kg to average 596c/kg, while light steers under 200kg sold to 686c/kg.
Trade feeder heifers 350-400kg sold to 524c/kg to average 444c/kg, 280-350kg heifers topped at 546c/kg to average 453c/kg, weaner heifers 200-280kg made as much as 554c/kg to average 518c/kg, while the handful of light heifers under 200kg topped at 538c/kg.

The Shaw Family, Wanditta, Capella, had their 601kg Droughtmaster cows to 363c/kg and $2185.
Adam & Tascha Sibson, Bundabaroo Station, Belyando Crossing, sold 564kg young cows to 393c/kg and $2218.
The Barlow Family, Amaroo, Comet, had their 377kg Brangus heifers to 524c/kg and $1978.
The Dorring Family, Buffel Park, Moranbah, saw their 600kg Charbray cows make 369c/kg and $2215.
The Iker Family, Euneeke, Springsure, sold 306kg Angus cross steers to 578c/kg and $1767.
The Bradley Family, Lindley Downs, Springsure, had their 349kg Angus cross steers to 556c/kg and $1942.
The Prewett Family, Glendariwell, Emerald, offered a pen of mixed age Brangus cows in forward store condition, with calves from three to six-weeks-old sold for $2910 per unit.
