Police are calling for public assistance after 15 steers went missing from a property near Pittsworth earlier this week.
Detectives from the Major and Organised Crime Squad (Rural) believe the mob of mixed bred steers went missing or were stolen sometime between 4.30pm on July 27 and 8am yesterday in the vicinity of Lochaber Road.
They are approximately 220 to 280kg and are a mixture of Angus, Charolais, Santa Gertrudis and Droughtmaster crosses.
A white management tag with Daley was inserted in their left side ear.
MOCS Rural detectives are requesting information from anyone who may have sighted suspicious activity in the area over the last few days, or anyone that may be aware of a person who has recently acquired cattle by an unknown means or advertised cattle for sale.
