There were just over 700 head yarded at Coolabunia on Thursday with consistency of prices unseen at Coolabunia before.
A good run of weaner steers was offered. Calves under 200kg made 640c averaging 605c, 200 - 300kg steers reached 631.2, averaging 560c, heavier weaner steers and feeder steers 300-400kg made to 570c, averaging 520c and a few heavier steers sold to 438.2c.
Heifers were also very strong. The best of light weight heifers made 602c, averaging 540c. Heavier heifers 200 - 300kg made 550c averaging 500c. Lighter trade weight feeder heifers made 460c averaging 440c, and heavier export heifers made 420 - 500c for the better types.
A few scale cows made 315c and better fat cows 305c consistently. Bulls sold to 450c averaging 340c.
A run of PTIC cows made up to $2500, crossbred PTIC cows were $1850 - $2300 and Black baldy cows and calves sold for $2500.
