THE inaugural QTFN Food and Agribusiness Conference at Spicers Hidden Vale, Grandchester, proved the perfect place for advancing sustainable agriculture.
Hosted by the Queensland Trust For Nature and the Ipswich Chamber of Commerce, the conference delivered on its promise of connecting, informing and advancing food and agri-businesses with a showcase of local providers and engaging workshops.
The event also heard from celebrity chef Alastair McLeod, who spoke at the networking lunch on the true value of locally produced, sustainable food.
Queensland chief scientist Professor Hugh Possingham also spoke on the need for the world to become both carbon and biodiversity positive.
Attendees were also able to sample locally produced gin and brandy from Jason and Maree Hannay's Imbibis Craft Distillery.
