With the Australian Association of Stud Merino Breeders' AGM taking place in town, there were people from around Australia in Longreach for the State Sheep Show, held in conjunction with the local show.
AgForce Sheep and Wool took the opportunity to hold a meeting as well, making for a big vote of confidence in the sheep industry as over 40 pens of flock sheep and 15 pens of trade sheep were penned.

Over 220 fleeces were available for judging, something that not too many shows in Australia could boast of.
