PREMIER Annastacia Palaszczuk has announced her full ministry after she this afternoon visited Queensland Governor Paul de Jersey who formally invited her to form government.
As the Palaszczuk government enters its third term, the 18 ministerial positions have now been decided.
Ms Palaszczuk said the ministry reflects the importance of powering Queensland's economic recovery and the continued health response.
It also establishes a Minister for Water, with the position going to Gladstone MP Glenn Butcher who will also be the Minister for Regional Development and Manufacturing.
A Minister for Renewables and Hydrogen is another new portfolio, which Springwood MP Mick De Brenni will have alongside his roles as Minister for Energy and Minister for Public Works and Procurement.
Townsville MP Scott Stewart, who the Premier yesterday announced would be one of three new-comers to the cabinet, has been named as Minister for Resources.
Gaven MP Meaghan Scanlon who at 27 is the youngest person to ever join the Queensland ministry, has been named Minister for the Environment and the Great Barrier Reef and Minister for Science and Youth Affairs.
The third new face is Nudgee MP Leanne Linard, who will step up as Minister for Children and Youth Justice and Minister for Multicultural Affairs.
Mark Furner will retain his position as Minister for Agricultural Industry Development and Fisheries and has also been named Minister for Rural Communities.
As announced yesterday, Deputy Premier Steven Miles will have over the health portfolio to become Minister for State Development, Infrastructure, Local Government and Planning.
Yvette D'Ath will pick up the Minister for Health and Ambulance Services portfolio, while Cameron Dick is Treasurer and Minister for Investment.
Ms Palaszczuk said she expected her ministers to focus squarely on Queensland's economic recovery and providing the services all Queenslanders - including seniors and those in regional Queensland - need.
"Queenslanders expect us to get on with implementing our Economic Recovery Plan," Ms Palaszczuk said.
"They expect the roads, schools and hospitals we need and the jobs that go with building them.
"It is our job to get on with the job and that's exactly what we will do."
Grace Grace keeps the Education and Industrial Relations portfolio, while she as also named Minister for Racing, Mark Bailey remains as Minister for Transport and Main Road and Mark Ryan will continue as Minister for Police and Corrective Services and pick up Minister for Fire and Emergency Services.
Shannon Fentiman will take on the roles of Attorney-General and Minister for Justice, Minister for Women and Minister for the Prevention of Domestic and Family Violence.
Stirling Hinchliffe is Minister for Tourism Industry Development and Innovation and Minister for Sport.
Leeanne Enoch will be Minister for Communities and Housing, Minister for Digital Economy and Minister for the Arts.
Di Farmer is Minister for Employment and Small Business and Minister for Training and Skills Development.
Craig Crawford has been named Minister for Seniors and Disability Services and Minister for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Partnerships.
