Toowoomba agents yarded 357 head of cattle on Monday. Cows sold 8-15c/kg dearer, quality feeder lines also experienced dearer trends. Bulls sold to a top of 365c.

Heavy steers from David Tyson, Vale View, weighing 426kg sold to 418c to return $1784/head. Heavy heifers from M and L Voll, Kilburnie, weighing 567kg returned $2027.
Heavy cows from Pittsworth sold to 323c with a Hereford cow from Cambooya selling for $2012. Trade weight feeder steers made 421c to return $2021.
Angus steers from Millmerran returned to the paddock at $1794 with lightweight Shorthorn steers from Terry Rafter, Drillham, reaching 518c selling in pen lots. Bobby calves from CR and JM Henry topped at $810 with calves from Cooyar selling to $860.
There were 189 pigs sold at Toowoomba, with pork and bacon a little dearer than previous sales. Sows sold a lot cheaper, store pigs in all weight ranges sold to a strong market for the stores on offer.
Prime pork made $274 and prime light bacon returned $270. Boars sold for $150 and sows for $320. Forward stores made $206, weaners returned $144 and suckers sold for $88.
