Shepherdson and Boyd yarded 1800 head at last Friday's Toogoolawah sale. The feeder market rose again topping at $1960/head for 0 and 2-tooth Euro-cross steers from Neil O'Connor. Ray and Dianne Bruxner, Laravale, sold 20-month-old Droughtmaster steers for $1790 and Droughtmaster calves for $1180. Jacques and Linda Moisson sold Brangus steers, 20 months, for $1700. O'Brien Pastoral Co, Bryden, had Charolais-cross steers for $1730.

Gauld Pastoral Co sold Brangus steers, 20 months, for $1670. Geoffrey and Leanne Hartwig, Eidsvold, sold 18 months Angus-cross steers for $1600 and Droughtmaster-cross steers for $1610. Peter Heath sold Droughtmaster-cross steers for $1610. Ivan Wild Manumbar had Droughtmaster-cross steers for $1670.
Adam and Natasha Stark sold Santa-cross steers for $1290. Rivermead P/L had Charolais/Angus-cross steer calves for $1190. Middlemount Droughtmaster weaners sold for $1290 and $1200. G and T Ryan, Linville, had Charolais-cross steer calves, 6-7 months, for $1130. Graham Ozanne sold Brangus-cross steers for $1650 and $1600. Warren Richards, Kilcoy, sold Droughtmaster steer calves for $1200. TIY P/L, Woolooga, sold a great line of steer calves, with Charolais-cross for $1190 and Brahman-cross for $1140 and $1060.
An excellent line of 1000 heifers saw great results for the quality on offer, with breeder types in huge demand. RL Cox & Co, Gattonvale, Collinsville, sold Santa-cross milk-tooth heifers for $1590, $1550 and $1500. John and Sherri Westaway had Charolais-cross heifers, 16 months, for $1470.
Gauld Pastoral Co had Charolais-cross heifers for $1380. Barraclough Partnership sold Droughtmaster-cross heifers, 18 months, for $1290. David and Tania Lukritz sold 16 months Santa/Hereford-cross heifers for $1340. Col and Sharon Henderson sold Charbray heifers, 18 months, for $1390. Pecan Pastoral Co had an excellent line of 15-month-old Angus heifers for $1570. Eskdale Cattle P/L sold Angus heifers, 16 months, for $1430.
A quality line of 10 months Charbray heifers from Middlemount sold for $1200, $1170, $1130 and $1060 for 90 head. Lone Pine, Eidsvold, sold Droughtmaster heifers for $1400 with pens making $1300 and $1290. A great line of Droughtmaster heifer calves from central Queensland sold for $1290, $1140 and $1060. Grey Brahman heifer weaners sold for $890, $860 and $800 for quality young calves.
Peter Stanton, Kilcoy, sold Angus cows and calves for $2520/unit. Eric Wade, Scrub Creek, sold Droughtmaster-cross cows and calves for $1920, while quality Droughtmaster cows and calves from Woodford sold for $2300. Peter Simpson sold lines of quality PTIC cows for $1570 and $1550.
