PREMIER Annastacia Palaszczuk has announced three new additions to her leadership team with the new look cabinet expected to be sworn in on Thursday.

Townsville MP Scott Stewart, Gaven MP Meaghan Scanlon and Nudgee MP Leanne Linard have all been promoted to the ministry.
While portfolios are yet to be allocated to the three, it is expected they will be stepping into positions vacated by the three ministers who announced their retirement ahead of the October 31 election.
Ms Scanlon, who served as Assistant Tourism Minister under Kate Jones, is likely to take the tourism portfolio.
Mr Stewart is tipped to be rewarded for boosting Labor's numbers in the marginal seat of Townsville with the Natural Resources, Mines and Energy portfolio.
Mundginburra MP Coralee O'Rourke's resignation frees up the Communities, Disability Services and Seniors role, which may be allocated to Ms Linard.
Ms Palaszczuk said the three members were hard-working and had done a great job serving their communities.
"I'm very pleased that these three members have joined our cabinet, they will be strong performers in cabinet," Ms Palaszczuk said.
"I'll be allocating portfolios tomorrow."
However, Ms Palaszczuk did announce a reshuffle of her senior ministers.
Deputy Premier Steven Miles will give up the health portfolio, with that being allocated to Leader of the House Yvette D'Ath.
Mr Miles will instead become the minister for state development, infrastructure and planning.
Treasurer Cameron Dick will take up another portfolio of investment and be responsible for attracting investment to Queensland.
Ms Palaszczuk said the Treasurer's first job would be working on the budget, which she said would be delivered before Christmas.
"The treasurer will be focusing on the budget... and Steven Miles as the Deputy Premier will be absolutely focused on state development and making sure that our regions are growing and of course dealing with all the mayors with local government, infrastructure and planning," she said.
"It is very important that during the pandemic we have kept up very strong relationships with our mayors and it is crucial that continues.
"I'm pleased to announce those senior appointments... and expect the ministry will be sworn in on Thursday."
