Back in late March 2020 it would have been hard to believe there would be Downs Rugby semi finals on September 26 and grand finals on October 3.

Congratulations to Toowoomba Rangers on securing the Wagners Risdon Cup Minor Premiership after an unbeaten season. Toowoomba Rangers play a home semi final against 4th placed Condamine Cods from 5pm this Saturday. Rangers have enjoyed a week's rest from a bye, whilst the Cods must rebound after losing to the USQ Saints 19-37 last Saturday. Toowoomba Bears posted an impressive 46-15 win over the Roma Echidnas last weekend and face up in this Saturday's semi final from 2.30pm against the USQ Saints.
The Warwick Water Rats have earned the Nutrien Ag Solutions B Grade Bill Flamsteed Minor Premiership, 5 competition points clear of the reigning Premiers St George Frillnecks. The Water Rats also boating an unbeaten regular season. Warwick play off against Toowoomba Bears from 1pm on the upper field. 2nd placed St George Frillnecks play Toowoomba Rangers for the other B Grade Grand Final berth from 1pm on the lower field.
In their second season in the Black Isuzu Ute Emilee Cherry Cup Women's 7s, the St George Filly Frillies have secured the Minor Premiership by 7 competition points over the USQ Saints with another weekly tournament win last Saturday. St George now play Rangers Bullettes this Saturday in the semi final, whilst the 2v3 semi final will feature USQ Saints against the Toowoomba Bears from 12:30pm on the upper field. Gates open from 11.30am at Gold Park.
