Queensland cattle numbers this week totalled 4170 head last week, down 528 head from the previous week. Queensland dominated the listings with southern, western and central Qld collectively offering 3646 head, 35 per cent of the catalogue.

Cow with calves at foot experienced the most significant price jump, selling between $2100 and $3710 to average $2639, up $385. Four to eight-year-old Angus cows with CAF from Warwick, weighing 561kg returned $2710.
PTIC cows were down $121, selling from $1500 to $2380 to average $1849. Angus and Angus cross cows from Warwick, four to eight years old, weighing 608kg, PTIC to Red Wagyu bulls, sold for $2250 and will travel to Allora.
Heifers 200-280kg sold to a dearer trend, ranging from 359c to 545c, averaging 477c, up 40c. Santa Gertrudis/Speckle Park weaner heifers from Jandowae weighing 239kg returned 493c.
Heifers 280-330kg increased by 25c selling from 355c to 578c, averaging 425c. A line of 10 to 12-month-old poll Hereford weaned heifers from Clifton weighing 294kg returned 454c.
Steers 200-280kg ranged from 327c to 585c, to average 470c. Brangus/Ultra Black steers from Condamine aged five to seven months, weighing 221kg returned 501c.
Steers 280-330kg increased 7c, selling from 349c to 505c to average 434c. Angus steers from Tara aged eight to 12 months weighing 305kg returned 451c.
SHEEP
Queensland sheep listings totaled 7109 head last week, an increase of 1575 head.
Wether lambs sold from $93 to $138, averaging $118, up $17. A run of 800 Sep/Oct '19 drop wether lambs weighing 28kg from Muttaburra returned $93 and will travel to Forbes, NSW.
Merino wethers sold from $103 to $142 averaging $119, up $2. Two lines of 600 wethers from Corfield aged four to five years weighing 41kg returned $103 and will travel to Bourke and Narromine, respectively.
Store lambs sold from 353c to 545c to average 424c, easing 12c. A line of Mar/Apr '20 drop Dorper store wether lambs from Augathella weighing 31kg returned 434c or $135.50.
