There were 378 head sold on Monday at Stariha Auctions Woodford cattle sale. The market was again strong, with all ages of steers in demand. Rates for meatworks and store cows were also increased.

Darcy Pratten, Mt Kilcoy, sold Brangus cows for $1600 and six to seven-month-old steers for $890. Christine Rowe, Laceys Creek, sold Charolais cows for $1500. Olivia Grazing, Kilcoy, sold a Charolais bull for $2120. D and K Perry Partners, Mt Kilcoy, sold Droughtmaster cows for $1440.
Natalie McNeilly, Woodford, sold a line of Droughtmaster and Braford cows for $1370. R and J McLauchlan, Maleny, sold a line of Droughtmaster steers, 14 to 15 months, for $1260. M and R Simmons, Donnybrook, sold Braford cows and calves for $1560. RJ Youles & Sons, Kilcoy, sold lines of milk-tooth Brahman steers for $1410 and $1320 and weaner steers for $1090.
Barry Pratten, Mt Kilcoy, sold Brangus weaners, 10 to 12 months, with steers making $1095 and heifers $920. Ian Davis, Moore, sold Charbray heifers for $1090. Gordon Engle, Maleny, sold Droughtmaster males for $1070. Ross Duffy, Mt Mee, sold lines of Droughtmaster steers for $1340 and $1315.
Dean Bauer, Moorina, sold Droughtmaster calves, five months, with steers making $760 and heifers $655. Brett Klein, Woodford, sold a line of Brahman mixed sex calves, three to four months, for $515. Matthew Smith, Anduramba, sold seven-month-old Charolais cross calves, with steers making $880 and heifers $850.
Noel Floyd, West Dakabin, sold Droughtmaster vealer heifers for $820. Thynne Investment Trust, Mt Mee, sold seven to eight-month-old Droughtmaster vealers, with males making $805 and heifers $850. John Harrison, Woolmar, sold lines of Droughtmaster and Charolais steers, six to seven months, for $890 and $885.
