There were 545 head sold on Monday at Stariha Auctions Woodford cattle sale. The market remained solid for all descriptions, with western and southern buyers strong.

Sarger Pty Ltd, Woolmar, sold a line of Droughtmaster cross heifers for $1000. David Phillips, Rothwell, sold 12-month-old Greyman steers for $1280.
John Pratt, Kilcoy, sold Droughtmaster heifers for $1150. Gary Bochow, Conondale, sold Droughtmaster weaners, with steers making $780 and heifers $675. Terry O'Neill, Bracalba, sold a line of three-month-old Brahman calves for $510. G and B Christianson, Linville, sold Charbray calves, four to five months, for $670.

Robel Pastoral, Iredale, sold a line of Brangus steers 10 to 12 months, for $1070. TS Carberry, Elaman Creek, sold South Devon vealers, with steers making $820 and heifers $810. Janelle Hansen, Stanmore, sold Charbray calves, six months, with males making $930 and heifers $745.

CRC Qld, Mossman, sold lines of heifers, six to seven months, with Charbrays making $800, Brahmans $820 and five-month-old Droughtmaster cross heifers making $730. Darcy Pratten, Mt Kilcoy, sold a line of Brangus heifer calves for $825. Amalu Pty Ltd, Conondale, sold a line of Murray Grey vealer heifers for $830.
