Vealer heifers to feed averaged 15c/kg dearer. Yearling steers to feed for the domestic market sold close to the previous week's improved prices. However heavy weight yearling steers to feed gained over 20c/kg. Yearling heifers sold to very strong demand for the quality penned.
Despite two major exporters absent from the buying panel cows experienced very little change in price, with plain condition cows pushed on by interstate restockers.
Steer calves returning to the paddock made to 509.2c with mixed sex calves averaging 460c/kg. Vealer heifers to feed made to 417c with a fair sample averaging 406c/kg.
Light weight yearling steers returning to the paddock made to 480c, with a large selection averaging 438c/kg. Medium weight yearling steers to feed averaged 400c and made to 431c, with a couple to the butcher trade making to 413c/kg. Heavy weight yearling steers to feed made to 409c to average 390c/kg.
Yearling heifers to feed for the domestic market made to 411c to average 351c, and a couple of medium weights to local butchers made to 418c/kg.
Medium weight 4 tooth steers to feed made to 381c to average 336c/kg. A handful of heavy grown steers to export processors made to 342.2c to average 341c/kg.
Medium weight 2 score cows to restockers made to 259c to average 248c, and the processor lines averaged 242c and made to 248c/kg. Heavy weight 3 score cows averaged 267c, and a small selection of good heavy cows made to 285c to average 282c/kg. Heavy bulls made to 300c/kg.
