Sullivan Livestock yarded a good quality yarding of 2157 cattle at Gympie on Monday, where the market for all descriptions was dearer.

Cattle were drawn from Bundaberg, Maryborough, Aramara, Bauple, Woolooga, Tansey, Kilkivan, Maleny, Conondale, Eumundi and all local areas.
Charbray and Droughtmaster cross steers two years from the Maher family, Pinbarren, made 360c/kg to return $1708, $1700 and $1686. Droughtmaster steers from Barry and Hazel Gill, Imbil, sold for 360c ($1760).
Limousin cross steers 18 months from J Stafford, Maryborough, made 369c ($1541). Russell and Trish McIntosh sold a great line of 155 Brangus steers for 394c.
Charbray steers from the Corbet family made 378c ($1579 and $1538). Droughtmaster cross and Simmental cross steers 18 months from DR Hains, Running Creek, made 376c ($1362) and 370c ($1262).
Better quality heavy weaner steers generally sold from 370c to 398c, while lighter weaner steers sold to a top of 428c for Droughtmaster steers from R and A Bloomfield, Cootharaba.
Charbray cross steers from Noosa Natural, Yalanga Station, Kin Kin, made 412c ($919). Overall lighter steers sold from 380c to 422c.
Simmental cross heifers 18 months from RW Rural, Kenilworth, sold for 342c ($1362). Charolais cross heifers from the Spiller family, Woolooga, made 344c ($1350 and $1342).
High grade Brahman heifers from Bruce and Fiona Hartnell, Mooloo, made 374c ($1238). Droughtmaster heifers from Tarangau Station, Coondoo, made 336c ($1208 and $1167).Weaner heifers going back to the paddock sold from 318c to 368c.
Cows and calves met spirited competition selling to a top of $1900 for Droughtmaster cows and calves from Coondoo Cattle. Charbray cross cows and calves from John and Liz Allen, Dulong, made $1675. The next run of cows and calves sold from $1225 to $1575.
