The Gin Gin weaner sale was run by Elders on Monday with a total yarding of 715 head of local cattle, one of the largest offerings in recent years.

The market was very strong with inland and northern buyers in attendance and many viewers tuning in to the first Facebook livestream.
Elders agent Simon Kinbacher said prices were extremely strong due to the quality line-up of local weaner cattle.
The Estate of the Late Ashford, Monduran, sold Charbray no. 0 weaner steers for $1140/head. P and L Smallcombe, Miriam Vale, sold grey Brahman no. 0 weaner steers for $1060/head while their heifers made $710/head.
M and T Dingle, Miriam Vale, sold a run of 80 no. 0 grey Brahman weaner steers topping at $1010 and sold heifers for $690/head. J and J Bauer, Monduran, sold light Charbray no. 0 weaner steers for $1040/head.
P and N Crawford, Miriam Vale, sold red Brahman no. 0 weaner steers for $1010/head. R and K Shaw, Goodnight Scrub, sold Droughtmaster no. 0 weaner steers for $1000/head.
DJ Hunter, Gin Gin, sold grey Brahman no. 0 weaner steers for $1005/head. E and J McCracken, Monduran, sold Brangus no. 0 weaner steers for $985/head while their heifers made $860/head.
N Rhodes, Rosedale, sold light Angus cross no. 0 weaner steers to top at $975/head. K and F Bowden, Bundaberg, sold light Charbray no. 0 weaner steers for $970/head.
