A yarding of 2375 weaners topped at 446c/kg at the Burnett Livestock and Realty weaner sale at Biggenden Saleyards last Thursday.
According to Burnett Livestock and Realty principal Lance Whittaker the overall sale resulted in being "Biggenden's best weaner sale result ever".
"We have strong restocking demand from Wandoan and Taroom and through to Dubbo, ," Mr Whittaker said.
"About two-thirds of the yarding went back into the clean areas."
The quality cattle were drawn from Monto, Eidsvold, Mundubbera, Gayndah, Tansey, Booubyjan, Crownthorpe, Woolooga, Cootharaba, Hervey Bay, Curra, Miriam Vale, Rosedale, Bundaberg and all local areas.
The Neubecker Trust, Yandaran, topped the sale with a line of Simmental cross weaner steers which reached 446c/kg to return $954/head. A & A Trigger Grazing sold Charbray weaner steers for 422c/$1260 while HK Dwyer, Biggenden, sold Charbray weaner steers for 436c/$1141.
