Amid a climate of cancellation, the Channel Country Ladies Day has bravely announced it is once again rescheduling its much-loved weekend of pampering, inspiration and relaxation.

At the same time it has been able to announce a date and location for a 2021 face-to-face weekend - October 15-17 at Bulloo Park in Quilpie.
The group dedicated to the wellbeing of women in Queensland's south west had to hit the pause button in 2018 to ensure it could deliver the usual top-quality event last year, with the intention of holding an annual event from that time on.
Tuesday's announcement has acknowledged that with the challenges thrown up by the global coronavirus pandemic, that's not going to be possible this year.
Instead, organisers have tweaked their usual Inspiration in Isolation slogan into a self-isolation theme to announce a series of virtual events for CCLD 2020.
"Isolation in the Channel Country is nothing new, but CCLD 2020 will have a new look this year," spokeswoman Kristy McGregor said. "We're adapting to the times and will be hosting a series of virtual events, to be held each month over the next seven months."

Drawing on the pillars of the event - health and wellbeing, creative and performing arts, business skills and personal development - a virtual guest speaker or workshop will be beamed into kitchen tables and lounge rooms across the Channel Country.
The Inspiration in Self Isolation events will kick off with a comedy gala from past favourites, comedians Mandy Nolan and Ellen Briggs, on April 24.
"We would love to have offered a physical event this year, but the challenges of uncertainty and restrictions on social gatherings mean the committee has had to adapt, as we're all adapting to life at the moment," Ms McGregor said.
"While we are being encouraged to physically distance ourselves, there's never been a more important time to come together and connect with one another."
