Thirteen students from the Downlands College cattle show team went up against five other school teams at the Inverell Show, and came away with a horde of ribbons.
Their haul included the champion school and herdsman award, and strong top 10 placings in both the paraders and junior judging competitions.
Rueben Sullivan took the ring by storm, claiming the champion junior judge title, as well as reserve champion in the paraders competition.

In what was their first foray into the show ring for 2020, the team travelled with a variety of breeds, including Lowlines, Square Meaters, Poll Herefords, Droughtmasters and Charolais.
Every beast in the well-performing, all-female contingent achieved place ribbons including several grand champion titles.
Downlands principal Stephen Koch watched the team in action and said he was extraordinarily proud of the kids and their performance.
