There were 436 head sold on Monday at Stariha Auctions Woodford cattle sale. The market stayed strong, with local restockers competing with western buyers for some quality lines of weaner and feeder cattle.

Robert Archibald, Caboolture, sold a line of Simmental cross cows and calves for $1720. Anthony Klein, Cedarton, sold a pen of Brahman steers, 20 months, for $1500. Peter Klein, Cedarton, sold Brangus steers, 20 months for $1490 and 16-month-old Droughtmaster steers for $1355.
Ivan Wild, Woodford, sold lines of milk tooth Brahman cross feeder steers for $1130-$1470, to return an average of $1350. Woodside Cattle Company, Winya, sold lines of quality yearling Droughtmaster steers for $1310, $1300 and $1210. Graham Taylor, Nanango, sold Droughtmaster steers for $1150.
Karen Miles and Peter Maunders, Harlin, sold Brangus cows and calves for $1420. Graham Pretsel, Ocean View, sold British White steers for $1100. Ben Mason, Woodford, sold a line of Senepol cross heifers for $1050. Shaun Lennon, Conondale, sold Droughtmaster cows for $1440-$1600.
Tony Martin, Stony Creek, sold Red Angus cows for $1540 and weaner heifers for $940. Henzell Farms, Dayboro, sold Droughtmaster cross yearlings, with steers making $1370 and heifers $1080. Viv Bochow, Conondale, sold Droughtmaster weaners, with steers making $1090 and heifers $900. Valerie Makings, Delaneys Creek, sold lines of Charbray weaners steers for $1000 and $1020.
