Agents Boyd O'Brien Bartholomew reported a yarding of 1076 head of cattle at Moreton on Tuesday. With Christmas approaching and the dry weather continuing, the market was much in line with last week's rates.
Lines of feeders were slightly easier but met vendors expectations. The better end of the export sold to a more buoyant market as did quality grain trade. Plainer condition drought-affected cattle have eased considerably creating a fine opportunity to astute purchasers. Heavy bulls are selling well.
