There were 906 head yarded at Stariha Auctions Laidley cattle sale on Thursday. Bulls, cows, steers, feeders and weaner cattle sold to solid rates. With the continuing dry conditions plainer and younger cattle were easier.
Brisbane Valley Protein, Coominya, sold 12-month-old Limousin heifers for $1250, milk tooth steers for $1840 and 18-month-old Charbrays, with steers making $1470 and heifers $1410.
KH and J Matzke, Blenheim, sold a Black Limousin bull for $2170 and Brangus cows for $1200. Pat Wallace, Laidley, sold an Angus bull for $2000 and a 10-month-old Angus bull for $960.
Rolly Donohue, Clarendon, sold a Santa bull for $1960, heifers for $1180, cows for $1190 and milk tooth heifers for $960. Andrew and Jayke Jackwitz, Lowood, sold a young Charbray bull for $2000, store cows for $1010 and 10-month-old Charbray weaners, with steers making $800 and heifers $710.
Warren Ott, Lowood, sold Santa cows for $1540. Bremer Pastoral, Mt Walker, sold lines of Charolais store cows for $1000-$1100. Ian Mason, Lowood, sold a Brahman bull for $1800 and Droughtmaster cows for $1215.

B and M Jensen, Fernvale, sold a line of milk tooth Charolais steers for $1050. Daniel Richards, Kilcoy, sold a line of Simbrah heifers for $880. Jesse Zischke, Mt Tarampa, sold lines of 14 to 18-month-old Brahman steers, selling for $950, $910 and $800.
Noel Goltz, Junction View, sold lines of Charbray heifers for $860 and $780. Collins Grazing, Anduramba, sold weaners steers, six to eight months, for $640-$700. Lester and Madeline Pickering, Black Duck Creek, sold Droughtmaster calves, with steers making $740 and heifers $600.
Elvio and Gloria Salmucci, Biarra, sold a line of Santa steers for $780. Copley Gully, Kilcoy, sold Droughtmaster weaners, with steers making $740 and heifers $690. John Hartley, Marburg, sold 10-month-old Charbray steers for $800-$880.
McIntyre Family Trust, Thornton, sold Droughtmaster weaners, with steers making $750 and heifers $620. Bevan and Lynne Bachmann, Lake Clarendon, sold four to five-month-old quality Charbray calves, with steers making $585 and heifers $650.
Wes Schefe, Hampton, sold 12-month-old Droughtmaster heifers for $890. Pat Collingwood and Rosie Hart, Murphys Creek, sold lines of 15-month-old Charbray heifers for $950 and $940. Jeffrey Webster, Kilcoy, sold Angus cross cows and calves for $1200.
