A growthy 29-month-old Simmental bull, Elite Nitrous sold for a top price of $17,000 at Glen Waldron and Kim Groner's Elite Charolais and Simmental Sale held on-property at Murwollok, Meandarra, on Thursday.

Elite Nitrous entered the sale ring with a weight of 1086kg, an eye muscle area of 158 sq cm and scrotal circumference of 41 cms and after a spirited bidding war was bought through a phone bid by Clermont commercial cattleman, Bevan Hall.
The homozygous black polled bull is a son of FBF1 Combustible (P) from the polled female Jenni Black Whammy 1Y.
In all, 11 Simmental bulls sold to average $6318 while 22 Charolais bulls sold to $4886.
The Charolais section of the sale topped at $7500 with Elite Prowler who was bought by Ken and Judy Sorensen, Beaumont, Roma.
The Sorensens were the volume buyers finishing with three bulls to average $5500.
Sole selling agents were GDL Meandarra and Dalby.
