There were 462 head sold at Stariha Auctions Woodford cattle sale on Monday. The market opened up solid for all types, with all buyers in operation.

Estate of AJT Ross, Yugar, sold Red Angus steers for $1200. Hazel Nichols, Woodford, sold Charolais cross steers for $1260, cows for $1200, cows and calves for $1420 and weaner steers for $760.

George Riding, Reesville, sold a Bazadais bull for $1400. Cheryl Gaedtke, Kilcoy, sold 12-month-old Droughtmasters, with steers making $925 and heifers $815. David Spring, Harlin, sold a line of Droughtmaster weaner steers for $880. Silas Holdings, Wivenhoe, sold lines of Brangus, Charbray and Droughtmaster heifers for $630-$660. Julie Hughes, Maleny, sold Red Angus steers for $735-$960.

Brett Klein, Woodford, sold Brahman cross heifer calves for $690. Glenn Newton, Moorina, sold Brahman cross steers for $910. Jeffrey Webster, Kilcoy, sold the top cow and calf for $1500. Nevil Green, Villeneuve, sold Droughtmaster cross weaners, with steers making $775 and heifers $740. Colin Cork, Conondale, sold Droughtmaster steers for $800.
