There was an increased yarding of 1020 cattle and 218 calves at Toowoomba on Monday.

Numbers increased with 1020 cattle and 218 calves yarded at Harristown Saleyard on Monday due to dry weather conditions.  All categories sold to easier rates. 

Best bulls ex Millmerran weighing 845kg topped at 262.2c to return $2215. Only a limited number of bullocks were yarded.  Heavy bullocks weighing 720kg a/c JD & KL Wilkes, Pittsworth sold for 300.2c to return $2161.  Limited lines of heavy feeder steers were yarded, with the best heavy feeders a/c Garry Dukes, Crows Nest topping at 298.2 to return $1141. 

Limited numbers of high yield heavy cows were yarded, with the best cows a/c Wilson Family, Wyreema selling to 240c.  Pens of heavy cull dairy cows a/c MJ & GJ Henry, Hodgsonvale returned $1313.  Heavy trade steers a/c JD & KL Wilkes, Pittsworth weighed 488kg realised 314.2c to return $1535. Heifers from the same property weighing 446kgs sold for 309.2c to return $1379. Feeder steers suitable for the trade a/c RJ Earl, Greenmount made 310.2c, while light weight Limousin cross steers a/c GJ & JL Walker, Rockmount weighing 167kg topped at 325c.  Cows and calves sold to $990.
