The market was firm for all feeder and bigger cattle and younger and late weaner calves met good demand at Toogoolawah on Friday.

There was a yarding of 1300 at Toogoolawah store sale on Friday, with cattle drawn from Clermont, Biloela, Eidsvold, Burnett and north coast of local areas.  

The market was firm for all feeder and bigger cattle.  Younger and late weaner calves met good demand, however were slightly cheaper with no follow up rain.

Milk tooth Limousin Droughtmaster cross steers a/c Ron Dunning, Mt. Stanley made $1370.  

Lloyd and Elaine Golinski sold 20 mths Charolais cross steers at $1350.

Anthony Dennehy sold quality 24 mths Droughtmaster steers for $1270.

Graham Bischoff and family, Coominya, sold excellent Droughtmaster 14 mths steers at $1200 and $1140.

Gary Rowe had Charolais cross steers 10-12 mths at $1210, $1070 and $950.

Glendale Partnership sold Droughtmaster steers 10-14 mths at $1050 and heifers at $990.

Dan Van Itallie, Biloela sold Euro cross steers 8-10 mths at $880.

B&J Farms had 10 mths Charolais cross steers at $790.

Vince Di Falco had Droughtmaster steers 7-10 mths at $850.

Keith Flohr, Clermont, had a deck of No 7 Droughtmaster cross steers at $1320 and $1260 and five decks of Wagyu cross steers and heifers No 8.  Steers sold at $880 and $705 while the heifers met good demand selling to feeders and breeders to $900, $870 and $860.

Reiser and Sons had late Charolais cross weaners at $735.

A&E Grazing, Gayndah, sold Charolais cross weaner steers $820 and $815.

Grieve Bros. sold late Charolais cross weaner steers at $720.

Elizabeth King, Conondale, had Droughtmaster cross steers two yrs at $1200 and $1120.

Mary Birchley, Eidsvold, sold quality Angus steer calves at $610 and Brahman cross at $560 and $550.

Peter and Fran Eggleston sold Charolais cross heifers 20 mths at $1130 and $1000.

Garry Hanton sold Droughtmaster cross heifers 20 mths at $1000.

Jimna Grazing Co had Santa cross heifers 12 mths at $790.

Reiser and Sons sold Charolais cross heifers 7-8 mths at $710.

Jorson Farms had a quality line of grey Brahman heifers 18-20 mths at $940, $930 and $920 with the reds at $870 and $840.

Glenn and Carol Beanlands’ Charolais cross heifers 10 mths sold at $715.

Scott Hurley had Droughtmaster cross heifers 16 mths at $950.

Mary Birchley sold milk tooth Euro cross heifers at $730.

Mark Lavender, Lockyer, sold Charolais cross cows and calves at $1450 and PTIC Charolais cross heifers from Fran Eggleston sold at $1310.

Five Charbray bulls from Glenhills Pastoral Co. sold to $3250 and $3000 with a total clearance.
