A total of 4528 head of cattle were consigned at Roma’s store sale on Tuesday. Weaner steers under 220kg topped at 290c and averaged 274c, weaner steers 220-280kg reached 292c and averaged 278c. Steers 280- 350kg reached 292c and averaged 256c, and steers 350-400kg reached 290c and averaged 247c. Feeder steers 400-550kg  topping at 289c and averaging 253c. Cows and calves hit $590/unit.

EM Baker, Rosedale, Wandoan sold Santa steers to 292c, reaching a top of $1819 to average $958. The Charolais cross heifers sold to 214c, reaching a top of $1020 to average $539. AB, HR & RN Hirsch, Caranna, Charleville sold Angus cross steers to 292c, reaching a top of $1763 to average $701. The Charolais cross heifers sold to 230c, reaching a top of $564 to average $450.

Lowan Hills Pastoral, Lowan Hills, Mitchell sold Santa steers to 292c, reaching a top of $1218 to average $983. Cooba Cattle Co, Cooba, Glenmorgan sold Charbray cross steers to 292c, reaching a top of $745 to average $675. Gwenbrook Farms, Gwenbrook, Roma sold Santa cross steers to 289c, reaching a top of $1403 to average $1291. JR & VM Brawne, Yerura, Meandarra sold Angus steers to 278c, reaching a top of $855 to average $759. The Angus heifers sold to 230c, reaching a top of $717 to average $636. Heifers under 220kg topped at 224c and averaged 182c, while heifers 220 – 280kg topped at 236c and averaged 208c. Heifers 280- 350kg topped at 250c, averaging 209c. Heifers 350-450kg  topped at 250c, averaging 216c.

LC Noller, Oakswells, Injune sold Charolais cross heifers to 237c, reaching a top of $1328 to average $1,104. IJ & CE Wilson, Old Chesneys, Injune sold Angus cross heifers to 200c, reaching a top of $513 to average $473. G & J Bryant, Amarillo, Roma sold Droughtmaster heifers to 250c, reaching a top of $893 to average $893.

RJ & JJ Copeland, Knockbine, Taroom sold Angus heifers to 224c, reaching a top of $489 to average $489. DH & SBM Campbell, Green Hills, Mitchell sold Shorthorn cross heifers to 208c, reaching a top of $533 to average $533.

Cows 300-400kg reached 185c and averaged 148c, while cows 400kg-500kg reached 199c and averaged 145c. Cows over 500kg topped at 210c, averaging 181c.
