There were 720 head yarded at Toowoomba on Monday. Very few bulls and bullocks were yarded, and cows increased in rates slightly with quality stores in pen lots markedly better.
Best bulls returning to the paddock reached 234.2c/kg. Best bullocks a/c RG & MD Miller, Back Plains sold to 261.2c to return $1701. Two pens heavy feeder steers a/c Phil Egan, Perseverance sold to 259c to return $1199.
Roger Menkins, Haden sold heavy heifers to 239.2c to return $1554. Romagnola heifer a/c John Schick, Haden sold to 257.2c to return $1279.
Miller Family, Back Plains sold cows to 214.2c to return $1233. Plain condition cows sold from 80-100c. Trevor and Kelly Weier, Clifton sold trade weight steers to 277.2c returning $1432. Trade weight feeders sold to 274.2c, vealer heifers sold from 190-210c. Deegan family, Lismore sold Charolais cross steers to 278.2c.
