The Australian Campdraft Association One Moore Daddy Champion Rookie Horse Competition is generously sponsored by Mac and Gayle Shann of Cantaur Park.
The ACA rule book states that a Rookie Horse is a horse which has not started in a campdraft prior to April 1 in the competition year. The Owner of a Rookie horse must be a financial member of the association and the horse must be registered with the ACA. Points are gained from Maiden, Novice and Open drafts.
The ACA also runs a Sponsors Syndicate in conjunction with the Rookie Horse two rounds at the National Finals each year. Sponsors draw for horses starting in these rounds and the aggregate score of drawn horses over the rounds determines the winning sponsor, with 3 places awarded.
Each sponsor contributes $500 into the competition, meaning the more sponsors, the bigger the prize pool – so contact the ACA office to sponsor today!
