Independent local brewery Stone and Wood has partnered with leading primary industries expo Norco Primex for the 2018 event to be held from June 14 to 16 in Casino.
Born and raised in Byron Bay and brewed in the Northern Rivers, Stone and Wood will supply its locally handcrafted beers for guests to enjoy at the brewery’s pop-up bar at Primex.
The main saleyards will be located next to the Stone and Wood bar, which brings an added layer of experience to Primex guests and those wishing to partake in the sales.
Whether you are already a Stone and Wood supporter or the name is new to your beverage vocabulary, the pop-up bar will be easily situated for a thirst-quenching pit stop during your time at the field days.
“It is awesome to be announcing Stone and Wood as part of Norco Primex this year, particularly as they are a local product to the Northern Rivers region and employ local people,” said Primex director Bruce Wright.
“We’ve constantly strived to support the Northern Rivers and especially Casino businesses where possible and Stone and Wood’s DNA is right here.
“It will be one of the most unique activations that I have seen at an event like this – to have a bar right next to the saleyards – it will give us a point of difference.
“I’m sure there will be a lot of people who will enjoy the Stone and Wood bar and taking in everything that is going on around that throughout the course of Primex in June.”
As one of Australia’s premier agribusiness events, Norco Primex has always prided itself on promoting sustainable farming – a philosophy that is very much in line with that of Stone and Wood.
Stone and Wood’s head of sustainability James Perrin said the company’s “green feet” program was created to enable a regenerative connection between the earth’s resources and the beer brewery.
“We acknowledge the reliance we have on our earth to enable us to produce good beer so it is our responsibility to tread a path towards sustainability,” Mr Perrin said.
“This includes the installation of solar power, LED lights, ammonia refrigeration, a URFO system to create reuseable water from waste water and boiler upgrades to reduce energy.
We acknowledge the reliance we have on our earth to enable us to produce good beer so it is our responsibility to tread a path towards sustainability.
