Primex organisers believe the exhibition has grown and developed since its inception and in keeping with the theme of innovation, this year's event again uses technology to ensure visitors’ time is well spent.
For the second year in a row, attendees at Casino’s Norco Primex field days can plan their show before arriving in the Northern Rivers town from Thursday, June 14, to Saturday, June 16.
Directors of Primex have upgraded the MapYourShow service in 2018 to create more opportunities for exhibitors to promote their stands.
They have also created an easier to understand product for visitors to know who is exhibiting and where.
Once there, MapYourShow gives you options to search exhibitors by name, business category or location.
The interactive map has been designed for optimum ease of accessibility and use.
It allows the user to plot their exact location relevant to their surroundings at the Primex site.
Rather than having to spend precious minutes searching for hard copy maps or asking directions, the information can be, quite literally, in the palm of a visitor’s hand.
MapYourShow was introduced by Norco Primex directors last year to allow a more streamlined experience.
“We understand those attending the show only have a limited amount of time,” Norco Primex director Bruce Wright said.
“With the show being so diverse and many areas being somewhat niche, the MapYourShow addition allows those coming to the show the chance to nail down exactly who they wish to visit before arriving.
“They have it all in the palm of their hands.
“Visitors can efficiently get to the exhibitors that are the most interesting to their area of speciality.
“This year we have upgraded it significantly so that it is even easier to use and gives exhibitors additional options to promote their sites to prospective customers.”
MapYourShow is another feature of Norco Primex that makes it northern New South Wales’ biggest annual agribusiness event.
It generates millions of dollars in tourism revenue for the city of Casino and for the businesses that exhibit at the show.
Last year, many businesses recorded record sales for the June show with many more looking to add to that as well.
An upgraded entertainment offering is being finalised as organisers hope to ensure show-goers have an experience at Primex that goes beyond static displays, with events like machinery exhibitions, animal activities and live music.
