FARM security is at the forefront of people’s lives these days.
“Farmers are really taking our 3G cameras and running with them,” says Outdoor Cameras Australia managing director Damian Byrne.
“It’s exciting and great to see.
“I love offering a product that can make such a difference to people’s lives.
“The cameras are relied upon so heavily now.
“Customers often comment on how $430 is not much for something that would save them thousands of dollars each year.
“Water monitoring, security, and feral animal management are still the most popular uses for the cameras on farms.
“But we have really seen a big jump in the number of producers using them for the watering points just to save them the trip to remote areas of their property or blocks they have away from their house block.
“The beauty of a camera is you can see straight away in the image through your phone if there is a problem.
“For instance you can see the float, you can see if there is a leak, see how high the float indicator in the tank is.
“If you line the camera up right you can see all of this as well as stock and even a rain gauge in the foreground if you wanted.”
Outdoor Cameras Australia will be offering a special on its 3G cameras and solar panel set ups at Farmfest this year, Mr Byrne said.
