The first person Bazadais breeder Kahn Vietheer, Oakey, reached out to after his cow Nioka Sapphire won grand champion female at Beef Australia 2018 was his grandfather, Arthur Hiscock.
An emotional Kahn, who runs Primeiro Bazadais, said Arthur was his “best mate” and responsible for inspiring him to breed Bazadais cattle.
Arthur has operated Nioka Bazadais at Oakey for a number of years, and is well regarded in the industry.
Grand champion male went to Nioka Joker, Oaktrees Bazadais.
The Bazadaise Breeders of Australia also awarded the “Bazadaise Feature Show Exhibit”, with Nioka Sapphire named the supreme champion, sponsored by the Bazadaise Breeders of Australia.
