A quality yarding of 540 head came to hand at the April 24 Miriam Vale show sale.
Buyers came from Rolleston, Callide Dawson Valley, South Burnett along with strong local support.
CK Parker Holdings, Bororen, sold a pen of Simmental cross steers 10 months for $880. This was the Grand Champion Pen of the sale.
Peter Mossman, Ubobo, sold a pen of Shorthorn cross steers for $910.
Most older steers, No 7, sold from $850 to $910.
Turkey Station, Bororen, sold No 7 Charbray cross steers for $870.
The Turner Family, Lowmead, sold Brangus No 8 steers for $835; while their Brahman cross weaner steers to a top of $820.
Weaner steers No 8, mainly sold from $700 to $800 with smaller types selling from $550 to $700.
Bill and Sue Roffey, Gaeta View Grazing, Gin Gin, sold two pens of Brahman and Brangus heifers No 7, from $880 to $820. These were first and second prize winners in the older class.
The Turner Family, Lowmead, sold their Brangus weaner heifers for $565. They won the prize in the younger class.
Most weaner heifers No 8, sold from $450 to $500.
