Weaner steers were in demand at Bartholomew and Co's Beaudesert store sale on Saturday.

BARTHOLOMEW and reported a reduced yarding of 313 head at the Beaudesert store sale on Saturday. 

Auctioneer Garth Weatherall said following good falls of rain across most of the south east earlier in the week, the market was firm to dearer for all descriptions.

Agri Prosperity, Veresdale, sold Charbray steers two years for $1400.  Simbrah Steers 14 months account Keira Farm, Mutdapilly, made $1415.  Red Brangus steers 14 months from Jim and Ellen Logan, Gleneagle, made $1175.  Frank and Tina Browne, Moogerah sold Brangus steers 14 months for $1155. Y-Wagyu Pastoral Co, Oaky Creek, sold Charolais-cross weaner steers for $900. Chris Franklin, Oaky Creek, sold Charbray weaner steers for $855.  Charbray weaner steers from Judd Farming, Allenview, sold for $775. 

Droughtmaster heifers 18 months from Edwards Rural, Silverdale, sold for $1080. Jim and Ellen Logan sold Red Brangus heifers 12 months for $945. Euro heifers 12 months account Keira Farm sold for $725. Auld Family Pastoral, Tarome, sold Droughtmaster heifers 10 months for $720. Gayle Sellars, Rosevale, sold Santa cows and calves for $1510. Keira Farm sold Simmental cows and calves for $1190.

The next Beaudesert Store Sale will be held on March 24.
