Yamaha has announced a new multi-passenger Side-by-Side vehicle (SSV) packed with new technology.

The all-new four-passenger Wolverine X4 SSV provides superior capability, comfort and confidence to deliver performance that is truly proven off-road. While it’s aimed at the recreational explorer and hunter its spacious passenger comfort and load towing capacity makes it one of the most versatile side-by-side vehicle on the market.

At the core of the Wolverine X4 is an all-new 847-cc twin cylinder engine that shares performance technology with Yamaha’s class-leading sports bikes and delivers ultra-smooth power via Yamaha Chip Controlled-Throttle (YCC-T) drive-by-wire throttle.

Coupled with Yamaha’s Ultramatic CVT transmission featuring 2WD, 4WD, high and low range with natural downhill engine braking, it gives you the confidence to take on tough terrain.

Its compact, nimble chassis cradles the most versatile cab in its class with industry-exclusive stow-away full-size rear seats for expanded cargo capacity on demand.

The Wolverine X4 will transport four burly blokes comfortably with high-back seats, three-point seat belts, plenty of legroom and ergonomic hand holds. It is the perfect solution for travelling cross-country. The Wolverine X4 SE can transform into a utility work vehicle in rugged environments that demand reliability in areas of difficult access. It will tow 906 kilograms plus it has a speed management system allows the owner to limit the vehicle to a top speed of 40 kilometres per hour, making it ideal for work sites or other special operating conditions.

With the challenge of varying loads, the Wolverine X4 rear suspension features self-levelling shocks – which means automatic adjustment for changes in vehicle and passenger loads to ensure ideal chassis performance with every ride.

Yamaha offers a wide range of accessories for the Wolverine X4 and is the only four-seat SSV to feature a true full hard cab option available direct from the manufacturer.

The Wolverine X4 offers nearly 600 watts of electrical output from the engine for two standard 12V DC ports, and various accessories with the convenience of four pre-wired accessory switches.
