Demonstrations of the latest and greatest cattle equipment and products will take place on the grounds of the CRT Mount Ossa Rural store on Tuesday, February 27 from 9am to 1pm.
Store manager Adrian Zarb said the demonstration day has been specifically created with the needs and interests of cattle producers at its core.
“Along with product talks from the various representatives who’ll be in attendance, we’ll provide graziers with a chance to walk through and operate a working set of yards, and offer an introduction to the innovative low-stress Bud-Flow force tub designed by Arrow Farmquip,” Adrian said.
Arrow Farmquip sales representative for Qld and the NT John Soutar said the primary advantage of the Bud-Flow system is that it maximises flow when you’re working your cattle without risking the safety of your staff, family and yourself.
“The Bud-Flow tub is easy to use because its low-stress design leverages natural cattle behaviour to create efficient flow into your race and crush area,” John said.
“You get the best of both worlds, as its design also provides you with the option to use it as a conventional force tub, with the force gate delivering optimum operator safety,” he said.
John will also discuss and showcase other stockyard design concepts to improve productivity and safety.
“I’ll provide advice on choosing a crush to suit your needs, and give you the lowdown on how best to upgrade your existing yards.”
A Bayer representative will be present to discuss the benefits of the recently released Trisolfen product.
“Trisolfen is a combination pain relief and wound care agent for calves after castration. It has been proven to reduce mortality rates in calves due to the prevention of infection.”
“Wilmar representatives will be here provide clarity on the best ways to match feeding regimes to the type of stock you carry, while showcasing their conventional cattle supplement, and organic input ranges.
“The Allflex reps will discuss the benefits of their product range covering: monitoring systems, scanning and reading, lifetime data recording, and DNA sampling technology.
“And staff from Trutest will showcase their load bars, weighing indicators and EID reading equipment while offering advice on choosing the right equipment to suit your requirements.”
Adrian said the free to enter event will also include a barbecue lunch for guests.
