Plain Clothes Constable Nick Hempel said detectives from the Cloncurry Major and Organised Crime Squad Rural recovered the generator during a search warrant at Tirranna Springs, near Burketown.
A stolen generator was seized on a property near Burketown.
The generator had been stolen from the Lady Jenny mine site at Fountain Springs in September. Fountain Springs is located about 75km south west of Cloncurry.
The 18-year-old Cloncurry man is due to appear in the Cloncurry Magistrates Court on December 8.

The generator was stolen from Fountain Springs, south west of Cloncurry.
