Nevil Green, Villeneuve, sold Droughtmaster cows for $1450 and quality Limousin cross weaners, 8-10 months, with steers making $965 and heifers $880. Adrian Crow, Woolma, sold Brangus weaners, with steers making $830 and heifers $775. Jeffery Shallcross, Kilcoy, sold 8 month old Charolais cross steers for $840. Gregory Nunn, Kilcoy, sold Brangus yearlings for $900-$1100. Peter Zillman, Caboolture, sold 4-5 month old Charbray calves for $635. Margaret Newton, Upper Caboolture, sold South Devon weaner steers for $870. John Robertson, Maleny, sold Murray Grey steers for $1090.  

728 head of cattle were sold at Stariha Auctions Laidley cattle sale on Thursday. The market was strong for all types, with western and downs buyers active after the recent widespread rain.
