Numbers increased by 440 head for a yarding of 4943 at Dalby this week. Buyer attendance was generally good with the return of some southern operators.

Medium and heavy weight yearling steers to feed experienced a small improvement of 1c to 2c/kg. Yearling heifers to feed experienced little change. Heavy grown steers and bullocks could not maintain the average prices of the previous week while the cows were firm to marginally dearer. Half the proceeds of one pen of grain-fed bullocks were sold on behalf of the Royal Flying Doctor Service to reach 299.2c to average $2057/head.
Yearling steers 400kg plus made from 270.2c to 296.2c to average 288.5c. Yearling heifers to feed sold from 266.2c to 238.2c and averaged 235.3c.
Heavy weight grown steers were back by 7c making from 262.2c to 275c with grown heifers selling from 220c to 225c.
Medium weight cows sold from 200c to 225.2 to average 217.2c. Heavy weight bulls made to 270c.
