A $75 billion investment in critical infrastructure projects in southern Queensland including Inland Rail, the Toowoomba Second Range Crossing and major Bruce Highway upgrades has many involved in agribusiness wondering if this may finally be the freight game changer we’ve all been waiting for.
Next month, the Rural Press Club of Queensland will host the Hon. Darren Chester MP, Minister for Infrastructure and Transport, to explain how these projects will open up opportunities for development and economic growth throughout our agricultural regions.
Mr Chester is expected to outline how Central and Northern Australia also reaping the benefits of major infrastructure spending with billions of dollars of federal funds earmarked for the Beef Roads, bridges renewal and and Bruce Highway upgrade – all of which are designed to boost productivity and create new opportunities for rural Queensland.
The lunch will be held at Tattersalls Club, Brisbane on Thursday September 21 from Noon.
