Power of Red Sale Group member Kirrily Iseppi, GK Livestock, Dalby, said the seven vendors are very proud to be offering another “impressive” sale draft .
“The vendors have put together a high quality even line of 40 industry relevant bulls and a very promising group of 10 registered females suitable to build a stud herd around,” Kirrily said.
“There are also some very exciting genetic lots available in the sale, including semen packages from sires that previously haven’t been made available on the open market,” she said.
Vendors offering cattle for this years sale include: Maryanne Kearney, Boonyouin, Kingaroy; Greg and Melinda Hoey, Clearview, Allora; Gavin and Kirrily Iseppi, GK Livestock, Dalby; Stuart and Dianne Greenwood, Greenwood Park, Pittsworth; Angela Uebergang, Holly Vale, Moree, Greg and Heather Davies, Rosemullion, Goomburra, Craig and Renae, Triple M, Rukenvale.
She said the current strong interest and commercial success of the Red Angus breed prompted the group of vendors to establish and maintain a Queensland based Sale as an annual event.
“The Power of Red Sale groups main goal, is to offer a larger catalogue of quality Northern bred and raised Red Angus Cattle, to Queensland and Northern NSW beef breeders in a central location, on the one day.”
Kirrily mentioned that the Grand Champion bull at the Royal Brisbane Show this year, GK Red 53 Hi Star L13, was selected as a yearling out of the Power of Red II Sale, last year by Allora’s Kellie Smith and Steve Hayward, which underlines the high standard of the lots catalogued for the sale each year.
This years draft includes 2017 Royal Brisbane Show, Senior and Grand Champion Red Angus Female, GK Red Dina 164 K33 in Lot 40, and the Reserve Senior Champion Bull, Greenwood Park Lorenzo in Lot 2.
Live video, audio and online bidding will again be made available through Elite Livestock Auctions which will allow prospective buyer to participate without attending the sale.
The lots catalogued for the sale can be inspected from 3pm on Friday, September 8, and before the sale from 8am.
