The supply of stock experienced a small decline to 4440 head. A fair panel of buyers were present, however some of the exporters of the previous week were absent.
Most classes sold to a cheaper trend with medium and heavy weight yearling steers to feed averaged 5c to 7c/kg less. Medium weight yearling heifers were cheaper by 9c. Heavy grown steers and bullocks sold to a market 13c to 17c less. Good heavy cows lost 12c while the plain conditioned lines at the time of this interim report have received little change.
Heavy weight yearling steers to feed made from 296.2c to 323.2c while medium weight yearling heifers to feed sold from 280c to 320c, averaging 295.5c.
Grown steers in the 500-600kg range made 277.2c to 286.2c. Grown heifers traded from 256.2c to 270c. Heavy cows sold from 216.2c to 228.2c and averaged 223.3c. The best bull made 300c.
